Formed from the ashes of former Yeovil bands Lie To Survive, Violent Basket and Spillmouth, Forgotten Enemy was started to try an create a new sound and have a hell of a lot of fun doing it!

Bored of all the soundalike bands that were around at the time, we wanted to create music that combined all the elements that make a song rock and mix old school riffs and solos with a modern heavy edge, kind of like Guns N Roses meets Fu Manchu in a cafe in Amsterdam, but with the clever hook writing of bands like Avenged Sevenfold and Shadows Fall. And party hard whilst doing it! Also, the band wanted to write songs that were lyrically both politically and socially conscious, and about things that really mattered to them.

After forming back in September 04, the band started gigging in February 05, and played numerous gigs in the Somerset area, before setting off to the Czech Republic for the Czech Rock 05 tour with Citrus Boy, Pop Parker and Bone Idol, where the band headlined a show in Prague and generally partied and drank a lot of good Czech beer!

Upon returning, they played more shows around the local area and have just entered the studio for the first time proper to record their debut 8 track EP, to be titled ôThe Destruction of Selfö, which is scheduled for release on their own label this month.
